From the recording musical bridge
The great Ulster singer Paddy Tunney concocted this amusing story using only the names of reels; he then took chose the reel Bonny Kate (also mentioned in the first verse), for the air of the song. The song uses the last reel named in each verse, usually lilted, for a chorus. The Girl from Donegal then gets another drag around the road then to finish, this time in the standard key of D.
