Two reels composed by Graham, the first to mark the occasion of the birth of the first child of good friend Colin Carrigan, the second is named for a ship, The Lyubov Orlova, moored and abandoned in St. John’s Harbour for many years. She used to gradually list at the dock until her lower half would be pumped out, causing her to begin to list to the opposite side. This was the inspiration for the melody of the tune. Upon removal under tow, she broke free and drifted off towards Ireland. She was never found and it is widely believed she sunk somewhere in the North Atlantic.
